Slurry Spreading Dates 2024. According to the regulation, to reduce the closed period for slurry spreading from october 1, in 2023, the following scientific criteria should apply: From 1 august 2024 closed periods.
The spreading of slurry and organic manures with high readily available nitrogen will be prohibited during the following periods (certain exemptions will apply, see welsh government guidance): The closed period prohibits the spreading of organic manures (excluding dirty water), from midnight 15 october to midnight 31 january.
